Custom Furniture and Architectural Fixtures
Talk about your miscellaneous category: here’s everything from a movable bar cabinet and a “Murphy”-style piano keyboard hideaway to a shrine-line cabinet used in support of meditation. I’m especially good at creating furniture and furnishings that fit their surrounding spaces with extreme efficiency and—one can hope, anyway—unusual but compelling style. I take furniture commissions that interest me (and levels of my interest may vary relative to mortgage payment due dates); there’s really no saying what wouldn’t be considered. In the spring of 2003, for instance, I in effect took on a basement finish build-out that included a climbing cave (ask someone who boulders). By the way, I’m using “Architectural Fixtures” in this category title to emphasize my interest in making one-of-king elements for spaces, whether that may be lobby or foyer lighting fixtures or special cabinets for bedrooms or offices.
