Beauty and Sublime (2002) A rectangular cabinet made of cheery wood and cherry veneer plywood, with glazed stoneware slab top. The primary lighting elements of the box are two halogen incandescent bulbs, with small mixing bowls set into opposite sides, as lenses. A small glass door toward the base of this piece reveals an assemblage of and old puppet and doll head (plus other objects), illuminated through a Plexiglas panel; there is a glassed text fragment on this front, above the glass door, and the opposite side has three small half-spherical illuminated lenses presenting candy wrappers. Size: 24 in. (h) by 15 in. (w) by 8 in. (d). Price: $650. |
