Writing Shrine (2001) A cabinet with sides angled in, with a fold-down door of multi-wood in front. Woods used in the cabinet body are cherry, cherry veneer plywood, walnut, and red oak, with ebony and white translucent Plexiglas as trim and for door pull. The top is a blue-glazed stoneware slab with shallow concave curve and marked with angle impressions. Illumination is inside, recessed at the top in the form of two 12-watt halogen lamps; other interior features include a walnut trimmed mirror, upholstered burgundy velvet, and a multi-wood platform. The back of this cabinet has a square frame with glass (with clamps) for the placement of flat art. Size: 24 in. (w) by 8 in. (d) by 19 in. (h). Price: $1,050. |
